Jordan & Scott: The Dream Wedding in Florence

A Love Letter

To My First Wedding

They say you never forget your first love—and for me, my “first love” in wedding planning was the unforgettable wedding of Jordan and Scott. Hosted at the stunning Villa Cora in Florence, this wedding marked the start of Bono Events International and holds a very special place in my heart.

Jordan wasn’t just my first bride; she was the friend who believed in me, trusted me, and gave me the opportunity to start my business. Her wedding was more than just a celebration—it was the beginning of a lifelong friendship and an iconic event I still look back on with love.

The Chance Meeting that Changed Everything

While I was taking a sabbatical in Paris, a friend reached out: “Hey, I know someone who needs a wedding planner.” That someone was Jordan.

We met over lunch, and there was an instant connection. Jordan saw something in me, even before I fully did. Within three months, we were on the phone, planning her dream wedding in Florence.

Her faith in me led to the birth of Bono Events International. I’ll forever be grateful for her trust, and our bond continues to this day.

Jordan and Scott: A Couple with Timeless Style

Jordan and Scott are a perfect match—stylish, genuine, and deeply in love. They’re originally from California but moved to New York to pursue their dreams. Jordan is a fashion writer and influencer, bringing a creative flair and impeccable eye for detail. Scott is her rock, a true gentleman with a warmth that matches hers. Together, they radiate elegance and connection. Planning their wedding wasn’t just about creating a beautiful event—it was about celebrating two people with the kindest souls.

A Chic Welcome Party

Before the wedding, Jordan and Scott hosted a chic welcome party on a rooftop overlooking Florence. The city was a perfect backdrop, embodying the “Dolce Vita” style that Jordan wanted. They also took time for a Florence photoshoot with their talented photographer, David Bastianoni. These photos are iconic, capturing the beauty of Florence and the joy of the couple in each frame. Florence was more than a location; it was part of their story.

The Perfect Setting: Villa Cora’s Regal Grandeur

The venue, Villa Cora, couldn’t have been more fitting. This historic villa, with its opulent Hall of Mirrors and stunning views, was the epitome of luxury and romance.

Imagine the elegance of Versailles mixed with Italian charm—Villa Cora was exactly that. Its grandeur set the scene for Jordan’s vision: a wedding that felt both royal and intimate.

The villa’s gardens, exquisite rooms, and timeless architecture created a backdrop as breathtaking as the couple themselves.

Bringing Jordan’s Vision to Life

Jordan had a clear vision: flowers everywhere. She wanted guests to feel as if they were dining in a garden of blooms. She envisioned flowers cascading over the tables, spilling onto guests’ plates. It was a vision Jardin Divers brought to life beautifully.

Their artistry added lush arrangements that captured the romance of the day, with flowers bursting from every corner. Each table was a masterpiece of color and texture, embodying Jordan’s wish for a lavish, immersive setting.

Exquisite Wedding Stationery

No detail was too small, including the wedding stationery, which set the tone for the elegant celebration. The invitations and programs were carefully designed to reflect the timeless beauty of Villa Cora and the sophisticated style of this wedding.

Each piece of stationery was meticulously crafted and printed on premium, textured paper, adding a touch of refinement that matched the overall aesthetic of the day. From the delicate fonts to the gilded accents, the stationery was a beautiful keepsake for guests, a reminder of the luxurious experience that awaited them.

The Bride’s Gown: A Masterpiece

Jordan’s gown was pure magic. She wore a stunning Mira Zwillinger dress that was the epitome of elegance. Intricate, delicate, and beautifully detailed, her gown felt like something out of a fairytale. She paired it with custom gloves and a bouquet made entirely of jewels, which sparkled under the Italian sun. Jordan even flew in her hair and makeup team from New York to create her perfect look. Her commitment to detail was impeccable, and it showed in every inch of her ensemble.

A Bridesmaid’s Dream in Gold

The bridal party was a vision of elegance, with bridesmaids dressed in shimmering sequined gold dresses that captured the luxurious, playful style she envisioned. The look was a perfect blend of “Sex and the City” meets “La Dolce Vita”—a celebration of friendship, glamour, and Italian romance.

Each bridesmaid’s gown sparkled in the villa’s warm light, creating an atmosphere of chic sophistication that beautifully complemented Jordan’s vision. Her sister, as the maid of honor, stood by her side. From their chic getting-ready robes to their stunning accessories, every detail of the bridal party’s style was thoughtfully curated to reflect Jordan’s impeccable taste and sense of fun.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the elegant Sala Carte at Villa Cora, surrounded by about 40 close friends and family members. It was an intimate, symbolic celebration filled with heartfelt moments.

Jordan walked down the aisle with her father, radiating joy and beauty, while Scott waited under a delicate floral arch.

Their first kiss as husband and wife was a touching moment that left every guest moved. The intimacy of the gathering made it feel even more special, as each person present was there to witness and share in Jordan and Scott’s love story.

The setting felt almost otherworldly, like a scene from a romantic Italian film!

Guest Gifts: Luxury Meets Italian Charm

Jordan & Scott took special care in curating thoughtful gifts for each guest. From Bulgari products to Herschel backpacks filled with Italian goodies, each item was chosen with love. They wanted guests to feel pampered, and the attention to detail shone through.

What I loved so much about this was that it wasn’t just a wedding; it was a luxurious experience where every guest felt like they were part of something extraordinary.

A Night of Laughter, Love, and Friendship

As the evening came to a close, the celebration reached a crescendo with Jordan changing into her stunning party gown. This chic, stylish dress was playful yet elegant, a perfect reflection of her personality. It added a fresh sparkle to the night and allowed Jordan to dance freely as she celebrated with her loved ones.

I found myself dancing with her—a beautiful moment that captured our friendship and the journey of bringing her dream to life.

A Wedding That Will Forever Be Part of My Heart

Looking back, Jordan and Scott’s wedding was everything I dreamed of and more.

This wedding was more than an event. It was the beginning of Bono Events International and a standard of beauty, elegance, and emotion that I strive for with every wedding I plan.

It was a wedding where every detail mattered, where love filled the air, and where my dream of Bono Events International began.

To this day, I think of that night and feel immense gratitude. Jordan, Scott, and Villa Cora will always hold a special place in my heart, as the wedding that launched a dream and a lifelong friendship.
